Easter Baby!
Hooray for Chloe's First Easter! The Easter Bunny knew she didn't eat candy yet, so he just gave her a basket to play with and a stuffed Ducky, which she seems either to enjoy thoroughly or just be thoroughly perplexed by it. She even helped decorate an easter egg with her saliva! Mmm...those egg shells are tasty. As you can see, she's getting pretty good at sitting up on her own, but she can't do it for very long unless she's either in a lap or she's holding onto something, such as an Easter Basket. The little blue doggy outfit marks a bit of a monument in size of Chloe for me. Her (great) aunt Dorothy gave this outfit to her when she was born and I remember being somewhat disappointed that it was bigger in size and that I would have to wait until she was six months old before she could wear it. I remember thinking, as I'm sure most naive young mothers do, "She'll never grow into this outfit, she's just so tiny!" Well, hello, four month old, you're wearing a six to nine month sized outfit! I'm sure this is what it feels like when they graduate high school. :-) Also, another big step in the life of chubby Chloe, her fist ponytail! If you look closely at the picture of her sleeping, you can see a hint of hair sticking straight up out of a little pink dot on the top of her head. That's the elastic holding her hair up. Okay, so her hair's not quite long enough for a real ponytail, but it's so dang cute I couldn't help myself.
No teeth yet, but she's still working on those lumps in her gums.
